Cuarteto Iberia creates in 2020 the Piano Project, with the objective of exploring and performing pieces written for piano quartet, not only for string quartet This interesting formation has been valued by composers and performers throughout history The possibilities that a piano quartet offers are essential for our development as chamber music players.
This project is born in Salzburg, alongside the pianist Misaki Pascual. From the beginning, the group established a mutual understanding, a shared vision of the music written for this formation and a collective learning of this genre
It is also important to us to offer the audience diverse approaches to chamber music, giving the chance to listen to all the options that Cuarteto Iberia can provide with their different projects.
Misaki Pascual
Born in Cumaná (Venezuela) and raised in Barcelona (Spain), Misaki Pascual started her pianistic studies very early in life. Awarded with more than 20 prizes and recognitions as a soloist and chamber musician, she is a regular in the main European city halls. She is engaged with various chamber music ensembles.
From 2012 to 2017 she studied in Barcelona at Conservatori del Liceu. After completing her degrees in Barcelona, she continues her studies in the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg.
She has received lessons from Dina Yoffe, Dmitri Alexeev, the Hagen Quarte, Josep Ma Colom, Marie-Josèphe Jude, Akiko Ebi or Marta Zabaleta, among others. Misaki Pascual shines for her versatility and brilliance and at the same time for her artistic and passionate view of the piano.
