Aurora Rus is born in Madrid in 1995. At the age of four, she begins her music education, starting viola studies at the age of seven. From 2012 to 2015, she is a student at Reina Sofia School in Madrid, in the class of Diemut Poppen, with Jonathan Brown as assistant professor. In this center she has the opportunity to work with renowned performers and conductors as Jesús López Cobos, András Schiff, Frans Helmerson, Günter Pichler, Pablo González and Péter Eötvös, among others.

In June 2014 she receives from the hands of her Majesty the Queen of Spain the award of outstanding student of the class.

From September 2015 to July 2017, Aurora is a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, with the professor Jon Thorne. Here she takes part in a series of concerts with Paul Silverthorne (LSO principal violist) and she works also with conductors as Edward Gardner, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Sir Mark Elder, Trevor Pinnock or Semyon Bychkov. In 2017 she obtains the Bachelor Certificate with Honors.

From October 2017, Aurora is a student at Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg in the class of Veronika Hagen, completing her Master studies in November 2019 with the highest qualification. In May 2018, she wins the 2nd Prize in Mozarteum ́ s Lionel Tertis Competition for viola. She is also frequently invited to collaborate with Salzburg Philarmonic Orchestra.

As a solo player, she has been invited to attend masterclasses with Jean Philippe Vasseur, Thomas Riebl, Paul Silverthorne, Sven Arne Tepl, Nils Monkemeyer, Nobuko Imai, Hartmut Rhode, Atar Arad and Maxim Vengerov, among others. As a chamber music player, she has attended summer courses and masterclasses in Stamford (England), Austin (Texas), Weikersheim (Germany) and Madrid, receiving lessons from Cuarteto Quiroga, Vogler String Quartet, Kuss Quartet, Miró String Quartet, Tokyo String Quartet, Emerson Quartet, Artemis Quartet, Cuarteto Casals, Heime Müller, Férenc Rados, Gerhard Schulz, Valentin Erben and Rainer Schmidt. In October 2014 she wins the first prize in Rotary International Chamber Music Competition in Madrid, which involves a series of concerts in Tuscany.
